Juan De Dios Ramos, one of the world's most revered masters in Afro Cuban Dance, will be in New York and Boston from Tuesday, May 8th through Sunday, May 13th, along with some of the top musicians and dancers from his world renowned dance company in Cuba, Raices Profundas. As part of Project CUBA, this is a monumental effort to celebrate 67 years of an artistic career of this Living Legend, and to give honor to his legacy for preserving the roots of Afro-Cuban Dance. From Tuesday, May 8, 2012 through Sunday, May 13th, take part in a series of workshops, presentations, dinners and dance parties each day held in both New York City and Boston. Today’s workshop kicks off with Juan De Dios Ramos and Yesenia Selier and prodigy percussionist Piri Lopez held at the Ibiono Project on Harbor Conservatory @ 1 E 104th St (Studio B21)!
